Dear Avi, Thank you so much for making our first Israel experience so wonderful. We could not have asked for a better guide than you. You managed to get us in and out of every stop with ease and because of that we probably saw more in our 8 days with you than we could have seen in 2 weeks on a bus or on our own. You even managed to re-arrange everything when the Pope interrupted our schedule (LOL) and made sure we still got where we had to be. AMAZING Honestly, we could not have been more pleased. Even your restaurant recommendations were perfect! Oh, can you please FedEx one of those wonderful falafel’s to Howard because he is really craving one! Please feel free to use us as a recommendation. Hope we can come back soon. Our very best regards, Cindy and Howard New York

My wife and I recently returned from an incredible trip to Israel, and we were pleased and honored to have Avinoam Glick as our guide. We were a small party of 4 people, two couples, plus Avi, 5 in total. His passion and enthusiasm for Israel, and his knowledge of history, politics, archeology and Israeli culture made this a profound and life-changing trip. We learned a great deal, saw amazing sites of Jewish and Christian history, and also had a great time exchanging stories and laughs along the way. We are anxious to return again, with our daughter and son-in-law and have another Israeli adventure with Avi. He was our trusted guide and became a dear friend.

I will let Peter know. I have been meaning to send you an email to thank you for a wonderful time in Israel. You really made it special for all of us. We went to Hong Kong for five days after Israel and then I got back to a fortune of work which I have been trying to catch up. Our time with you was fantastic and you really accommodated the kids well. They could not wait to get on the bus with you. I am sure that we will all remember Ella asking you for the map as we left the Kibbutz for a long time to come. We all really enjoyed ourselves and we feel that we have given the kids an appetite to visit again when they are older.

Best Regards,

Ian

Avi:
We have returned safe and sound.  The flight was long, but smooth.  As always, it’s nice to come home, but we already miss Israel.
We can’t thank you enough for making this trip so special.  It was wonderful to be with you again and we’re grateful that you were so thoughtful and creative about introducing us to so many new experiences.  We learned so much  —  from Ein Avdat to fresh figs  —  that we can start to think of ourselves as real Israelis.  We can’t wait to come back and, of course, to see you again.
I’m sorry that the guests from Holland were not too much fun, but I’m glad that you had the work.  Let’s hope that the news from Iran quiets down and American tourists keep calling you.  Denise and I are already talking about you with friends and family members.
Shana tova u’mituka to you and your family.
Shabbat shalom v’lehitraot.

Thank you, Avi.  We had a wonderful time in Israel and truly appreciate the knowledge and wisdom you provided.  The kids already want to know when we can return.  Our mission, with your help, was successful.  We even had a mini-Shabbat dinner last night.

Michelle passed your name and email address to another family in Boca – the Kataris.  It will be our pleasure to refer you to anyone we know interested in traveling to Israel.

Thank you again.  Shabbat Shalom.

Avi,
Just want to thank you for a wonderful and memorable tour of Israel.  You provided both the current and historical perspective without which one cannot begin to understand your remarkable country.  Your warmth and unflagging good humor enhanced every day and made what might have been tiring into a set of strong and vibrant memories.  Departing was like leaving a member of our family.
We want to thank you once more, and wish you the very best – and of course hope to see you again.
Best regards,
Harvey and Gail

Dear Avi,

A week has passed since we got home from Israel, and we haven’t stopped talking about the trip. The whole week was fabulous, thanks in large part to you. We never would have tried to squeeze in so many sites — let alone known to seek many of them out in the first place. (We miss you!) Please tell future travelers who are considering using your services that they’re welcome to give us a buzz. Short of that, here’s a quick list of what made you such a great guide for us:

– Knowledge: We’re nerds and we love to learn. At every site (and in all the rides in between) you filled us in on ancient history, current politics within Israel and throughout the region, art, economics, agriculture, religion, food — pretty much any topic we threw your way.
– Variety: The trip was a great blend of experiences — historic sites (of course), delicious meals, museums, festivals, and simply exploring Tel Aviv & Jerusalem. We really appreciated how your schedule gave us ample time to ourselves as well as time with you.

– Flexibility: The few times that we suggested changing up our itinerary — such as adding an extra day in Tel Aviv — you were open to our thoughts. Usually, you’d run with our ideas and offer tips for making the most of our time. But you were also candid when you thought we were better off sticking with our original plan, and we appreciated this too.

– Safety: Hitting all the sites on our list meant for a fair share of time on the road. Your driving was impeccable. And we always enjoyed hearing you banter with road guards along the way.

– Humor: As on any trip, we had our share of mishaps. But rather then causing stress, they all became fodder for jokes amongst the three of us. How great is that?

Best wishes,

Becca & Raj

Thanks again, Avi for the wonderful time we had visiting your country and the excellent care you took of us while there.
Without your doing all you could to not have Ernie take  unneeded steps after hurting his toe, there is no telling how bad it could have been.  Ernie said to tell you you’re a great doctor.  We could not have enjoyed Israel nearly as much without your expert knowledge.  We will recommend your
services to anyone we hear mentioning visiting there.

You do not ever need to apologize for the airport security in Tel Aviv!  It was a breeze compared to any airport in the US.
We did not need to remove our shoes or belts, when I had to take my big case for secondary screeing the girl asked if I had any books in there.  When I said yes, I did not even need to open it and prove it, she knew that’s what it was.  It was not the security theater we have here that is a waste of time and provides no real security.

Please visit us if you are ever in our part of the U.S.  By the way, our web site is:  www.greatsoutherngunshow.com.

Sincerely,

Ernie and Helen Bean

Shalom Avi.

We want to thank you for a wonderful, entertaining, and informative time that we spent with you touring Israel.  It was a pleasure to be in your company, whether in your vehicle with our constant banter, or touring the wonderful sites, your good humor and knowledge prevented us from being bored.

Thank you for everything,
Love, Jack and Mary Harris.

Avi,
I’ve been meaning to say “Thanks” for the wonderful time Margee and I had in Israel with you…but as soon as I returned I had to fly to California on a case.  With your great personality and infinite knowledge of the land, you are the perfect guide.  I look forward to seeing you again soon when we take family members on our next memorable trip to Israel.  Regards…Shaolom,

Hi Avi
We have arrived back home safely but tired from 26 hours of flights.
Debbie and family had to reroute through Turkey to Singapore then Sydney, they are back and fine too.
We want to thank you for making our trip to Israel a  very special one.
It was terrific just sitting back while you organized and arranged everything to perfection, even the weather.
You made all the history come alive for us,including the children Alyssa and Mischa, without putting us into information overload.
We all feel as if we have been friends for a long time not just 9 days.
Your management of our activities in a balance between historic and current times kept us enthralled.
We have some incredible pictures and I will forward one or two in the next few days.

Our South African friends who were staying at our apartment have a client of theirs in South Africa
Who have never been to Israel and intend going to Israel around May I think. They will contact you for touring.
Once again thanks for everything and for introducing us to your beautiful daughter.
We have already dined out on the story of the revenge of the Camel
and showed the picture of Debbie kissing him .
I will let you know my findings re Solar heating systems.

Best regards

Hello Avi,

I was referred to you by my mother and step-father, Anula Ellis and Bob Herak.  They said wonderful things about you.

My wife Sherry and I will be coming to Israel arriving October 1 and departing the evening of October 9th.  Are you available during this time?  This is our first trip to Israel so we are very open to suggestions concerning what to see and where to go.  We do have one significant event to attend while we are there.  My cousin is getting married on October 4th, at Beit Herzel in the Hulda Forest, so aside from the wedding and possibly a family event we are looking to enjoy the best possible experience.

Please let me know whether you are available and please let me know any information I need to have – fees, tour suggestions.

Kind Regards,

Aric and Sherry Ellis
